Eleider Alvarez loses long term deal with Top Rank due to loss

Well Canelo is already rich and uber famous in his native country as well as being recognizable to a lot of casual sports fans outside of Mexico so he'll be alright even if the DAZN deal becomes void. His opportunities to make good money will continue well after he stops boxing. But for guys like Eleider Alvarez, this is a bad sign if his was a normal kind of contract. He's gotta make them put a buyout clause in that thing if they have the option to drop out if/when he loses.Comment

See this is the sh^t I'm talking about when I'm saying these deals aren't "guaranteed" like mfers think. You lose & its over. You do some crazy sh^t & its over. If you quit drawing the fans & its over.
These promoters don't take risks like fans think they do. You eff up & your upside just took a downturn.
Promoters make tons of coin bu not being ******, that’s for fughin sure
Now I would like to know if people still believe , after his defeat , was Stevenson really avoiding Alvarez ?Comment

Personally win and you got it or lose and fugh off
Just don’t see a greedy promoter saying yes to a buyoutComment

Speaking of greedy promoters...If I ever get enough money and nerve to start a promotion/events outfit. I'll book the venues and scout talent. When it comes time to talk signing lines, I'll bring you along. I ain't got the heart to make someone those kind of offers with a straight face.Comment

Hmm. Still a shame. Those two Krusher fights are the biggest Alvarez will ever get so I don't even know if he can get something close to what was in that contract in his next six or seven fights without having the belt.

Yeah promoters are pretty stone cold
Their like lawyers , they don’t give a fugh but money
As long as your paying or making money for them they will say and do whatever you want
Once that coin stops coming in its on to the next
Plain and simpleComment

I was very disgusted with his performance
Very sad that you make it to the big stage and you bomb the way he did not knowing what tomorrow brings
I really thought he would go to the body from the first bell
Where’s the guy who said Marc Ramsay is one of the best trainers in the sport
He proved it Saturday nightComment
