Yup exactly. Although neither has a win over prime Kovalev. Not so much their fault though because Kovalev is the one who showed up out of shape to both Ward fights, denying Ward an opportunity to beat prime Kovalev (but Ward failed to cleanly take advantage of the opportunity he was given to dominate or even fairly beat out of shape Kovalev, so that part is on him), and to the first Alvarez fight. Alvarez did have a chance though, unlike Ward, in this second fight to at least beat an in shape Kovalev, though IMO not still prime at least not athletically, and he couldn't do it this time. That's boxing.

I would say that kovalev was in his normal shape for both ward fights, as in prone to gasing if a certain amount of pressure is put on him physically, like ward grabbing and wrestling him, tiring him out and he over loading on big shots all the time and missing. A better trainer and conditioner may help him with his problems or just cover over the cracks a bit, we will see soon id say

Actually they studied kov and noticed he doesnt have ko's at a certain range, and tied him up at the dangerous ranges he had. And he got whooped and mentally/physically quit. Its what they said they did, didnt let him "get off" at that danger zone. Sweet Science
