Suddenly, the luster of AJ vs Wilder is gone, and suddenly, Wilder loses perhaps the biggest payday fight he would have ever made in his career. Not to mention, whatever % of the PPV he had would have been dwindled.

They better hope he pulls off the win against Fury, although it seems unlikely given that Fury won't be as rusty, and it seems he has continued to lose some of that extra flab we saw on fight night.
This is a very real possibility that is maybe being overlooked. Given his performance in the first fight, you certainly can't rule out Fury winning.

Wilder is it's putting all his chips on the table in a big gamble, if he wins, he wins really big, and the fight with Joshua will be a mouthwatering prospect. If he loses, I'm not sure Wilder will be in the correct mental state to continue, some champions come back stronger like Lewis, but I think it will be harder for him, given the way things have played out over the last couple of years.

But as a fight fan I'd still want to see Joshua vs Wilder, even if the sheen and lustre is gone. Fury isn't likely to win by knockout, so it's not like Wilder would be physically damaged. He should technically still be in his prime years.

People saying Hearn was outsmarted seem to be forgetting that Wilder actually lost to Fury and is only in this position through robbery/luck.

            Because they don't care

Wilder got a blatent robbery off a cherry pick and this was their reaction:

.................................but.............. .......but.................Look over there, Anthony Joshua, he's a ducker hahahaha hahahaha .................. oh phew everyones distracted.

They have zero integrity, they do not care about the sport, they would see the sport burn in flames as long as Wilder, Spence, Crawford and the Charlos were ok.

Forget everyone else. They only care about one thing, we all know this, few people just come out openly and say it.

Eddie is a pathetic, spoiled, little child. Grow up dude, professionals don't conduct business via social media and interviews. Hearn has never had any intention of letting AJ anywhere near Deontay. He shows it time and again by constantly talking about it in the media. It's just one giant excuse after another. At first it was comical, but now it has become tiresome and predictable. Eddie should talk less and worry more about putting on a decent DAZN card for once. I mean, a card headlined by something called Ted Cheeseman...are you freakin kidding me? That dude was embarrassing, he literally doesn't know how to throw a jab and is nothing more than a club fighter. Awful, just awful.

Say what you want about eddie or shelly or whatever, but why is there so little communication from Wilder's side?

He used to say he didn't care about the money, that he wanted to make history etc by becoming undisputed. Where's all that?

I'm all for the Fury fight, but at least say Fury first THEN we'll become undisputed. Seems like Wilder doesn't want the fight to me.

Fury fight takes more priority than AJ he already said that multiple times since the draw

There is really no need for a long drawn out negotiations anymore if they want Fury they can have the fight he already named his price like AJ did with the "give me 50M and I swear I will fight tomorrow "

Another one that keeps talking about the past and makes excuses.

It's pretty pathetic that boxing fans keep coming up with this stuff and forgets to mention that Wilder and his team didn't even want to have a talk about that offer

The real truth is that Wilder and his team know that AJ will destroy him and that they want to get some money out of him.
