Yeah he looked smooth and effortless. What impressed me is that he still looked fresh in the later rounds.

Kovalev should've gotten the decision in the first fight. Scary thing for Ward is that in the second round, if Kovalev had placed that punch better, Ward might've gotten knocked out cold. If not, he would've been severely hurt and probably stopped.

Yup! Im a Ward and Kovalov fan but its hard to give Ward 7 rounds to win?? I had it 114-113 Kov 6 rounds each

So you never saw anything different about Kov's fighting style last night?

His style - nothing at all, are you kidding? Alvarez was looking for one shot all night. He was a punching bag for Kovalev.

When Alvarez was connecting, Kovalev looked like he was ready to go.

I think his/their* gameplan was get Kovalev into deep waters and stop him.

The real gameplan should have been to work his body (which he was doing in round 1 and 3), break him down and get the win.

You're going to tell me you didn't see Alvarez looking for one shot all night?

Kovalev wasn't over-trained. This is the 3rd time in Kovalev's career he went the distance. The reasons why he loses and gasses are elementary. Bradley is constantly off the range too I might add.

Kovalev is excellent but still very beatable though i think, which probably makes him exciting at this point.

Let's be honest, he probably beat Ward the first time, which proves the level of talent and ability he has. He's no joke. He might've lost some fights, maybe before he even got in the ring if you believe he over-trained for his loss to Alvarez, but he's still a top class world level fighter.

I actually think we will get some very good performances from him. He might have some confidence back after avenging a loss.
