There's no way he won't have a rematch clause.I think he’ll lose to Fury again and then fight Breazeale to regain a high ranking and then get a mandatory shot within 12-18 months at whoever is champ and lose.
I don’t think he’ll be one of those guys that bounces right away. He seems to like fighting so I think he’ll fight 4-5 more years but maybe become a stepping stone.
And presumably Brezeale will be nailed on for a shot at Fury. Or be heading to court.Comment

Everybody know Wilder and Fury agreed to a rematch right after the night of their first fight. What Hearn is doing now is trying to save face by making it look like if he were negotiating a deal on behalf of Joshua. Joshua don't want that smoke, and neither does Hearn. If 80 million can't get you in the ring, nothing will. That's why both Wilder and Fury ignore his claims, and openly state they're not actually negotiating with Hearn. The rematch is all but set.Last edited by todisday; 02-01-2019, 05:40 AM.Comment

You can make an argument that it was Joshuas fault that the wilder fight didn't happen. I wouldn't agree but you can make an argument
To say he's hiding from Fury is absurd, he would have got shat on for trying to fight fury after the sefari fight, wilder only got away with it because everyone knows wilders level.
Wilder v Fury was a cherry pick gone wrong, nothing more. Prior to that fight everyone, EVERYONE thought Fury was 2-3 fights and 18 months away from being back to his best.
They were probably right, he still beat wilder doeComment

On topic, if he loses the rematch to Fury which is a coin toss, he is up schitts creek imo
OP is right in that he is 33 and fights a young mans style, did anyone else notice the pacing issues he was having against fury? He was missing a lot but he always does, and by the middle rounds he was breathing very heavily and plodding, he had a couple of bursts after that but I don't think many picked up on it.
If Fury beats him, Fury and Joshua will probably have another 2 fights taking us until mid 2020 for Wilder to get another crack at them, in which case he'll be .....35 and I think by then his best days will be done with
He basically has to win this fury fight so he can get the AJ fight NEXTComment
