I'd say Jacobs career defining moment was vs GGG, a fight he lost.
And Canelo although hes a great fighter he actually lost his career defining fight against Floyd Jr

And Canelo did great things after that and he only was 22 years old when he faced Floyd
Jacobs career defining fight is against Canelo that is a better fighter than Golovkin

GGG sure didn't have the benefit of the doubt. I think the money fighter always has the benefit of the doubt, it's just that it's usually the champ that is the money fighter. Not with canelo, at least in Vegas. Not with Hagler against Leonard.
