NSB PICK EM 2019 #5. 2nd FEBRUARY 2019

Koba, I used to remember you always putting your pick in as soon as you put the new thread up? What happened?? Lol

Ha ha. Well I'm gonna go back to that now. Ain't gonna chance on missing another, even if I wouldn't have got any points this time anyways.

First reason is just that I've not been able to get a clear idea for most of the fights this year... been flip flopping all over and just can't make up my mind. Like somehow if I wait longer I'm gonna suddenly have a revelation... ain't happened yet though!

Second reason is more deliberate... I noticed that people's picks often seem to come in runs, and started wondering if my picks - especially when I put a little piece of my reasoning with it - were effecting subsequent picks by other people. Dunno whether that makes a difference or not, but I decided just to hold back a bit and see. Don't think I'll bother any more though, since anyone who's being guided by my shitty picks so far this year deserves exactly what they get.

Too true. Dude was one of my absolute favourite fighters of this decade, but I was pretty sure he was done between the KO and his legal issues.

My usual philosophy is to wait until after the weigh ins, most especially when it involves a fighter with a catch weight or one who has recently struggled with weight. Also I don’t like copy cats!! Jk. I’ll tally scores tonight. Will you do the entry on the leaderboard? Plan on doing it during the Super Bowl. Do you guys catch the American Super Bowl over seas??

I will do the inputting. Been putting that off the last coupla days, cos frankly it's a ballache and one of those jobs that gets more daunting the longer you leave it, but I just gotta bite the bullet.

Don't really watch American Football (or much of the regular kind either 'cept the internationals) but I've caught the Superbowl a coupla times cos I had a mate who was into it. Ha - just had a look over, it's the Patriots huh? My Rugby Coach at school was a fan, even arranged a trip over once if I remember right. Mr Davidson I think it was, he was a youngish guy so he'll still be watching even though this was about 30, 35 years ago. Starting about now huh? I might give it a little look fore I go to bed, just for old times sake.
