dang. im a mares fan but i thought tank would have gave him a good beating,. maybe even send into retirement type punishment. lets see who steps up.Comment

Mares was inspired by Mikey’s bold move to jump up and challenge Spence. Then reality set in and Abner realized he isn’t Mikey and quickly injured himself. With one week out he got injured? If that’s so tank certainly would have injured this fragile little guy. He is afraid of a 130 pound guy. Mares is a wee man.Comment

Lol Loma isn’t scheduled to fight until April and hasn’t been in camp yet he’s ready to o take the fight in 1 week notice. Lmao too much.
Fights like this cost a lot of money to promote and still get postponed all the time. This isn’t the first injury.
Plus they will have to offer refunds when they get a replacement and if it’s someone wack a lot of people will want their money back.
All depends on who they can get on a weeks noticeComment

Yea and let’s criticize Loma heavily if he doesn’t go across promotional outfits to fight one of pbcs prized ***els on short notice at a lower weight. Oh well Loma is a damn coward anyways! Make it happen no excuses! No refunds no excuses!Comment

Crolla is a mandatory but I'd imagine it will be skipped for the April date with Loma getting another unification fight to own 3 belts. I've heard Lomachenko openly say he's not that interested in the Crolla fight whereas Davis pursued and pushed for (even got impatient) Mares which wasn't a good look considering Mares is shopworn, on his 4th division, coming off a loss etc; Davis hasn't earned the right to cherry pick soft touches like this.Comment

The folks suggesting that they call Loma are just here to talk s hit. Loma has Crolla next then he wants Mikey. Davis has unifications at 130 to deal with.
This was Mares' fight. He asked for it and it's in his backyard so his fans can attend. PBC and Davis obliged the request because it's good money and good promotion of Davis to a different fanbase.Comment
