Comments Thread For: Derevyanchenko-Culcay Title Eliminator Lands On 4/13 PBC Show

The middleweight title elimination bout between Sergiy Derevyanchenko and Jack Culcay not only now has a home, but accomplishes two goals in the process. Confirmed whispers from previous rumors circulating in Germany-where Culcay is based-have the aforementioned contest penciled in for April 13 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The bout will serve as the televised co-feature to an already scheduled PBC show with local favorite Caleb Truax headlining in a 12-round super middleweight clash versus Peter Quillin.

I like it! Culcay had good performances against both Andrade and Sulecki. Both fights should be fun.

Culcay is no slouch. I didn't rate him high when I first heard of him but je performed very well in his fights against Sulecki and Andrade. Dude is pretty damn tough and has enough power to to drop a guy like Sulecki. Even tho he's coming up in weight I have a feeling Derevyanchenko will have his hands full.

Also, if Quillin doesn't come in shape and motivated he may have a hard time with Truax. Caleb may be a little limited but he always see to bring an honest effort to every fight.

Derevyanchenko beats him in 8, he does every Culcay can do but better.

            Lol

The WBC 160lb title mandatory shot is already owed, and the IBF mandatory shot will be line up before Alvarez-Jacobs even happens (IBF champion generally has a year to make the defense, but vacant title champs are likely on a different timeline).

Let's see how this one plays out, lol
