I saw that exchange today, I found it a bit ironic as I think Ward can come across bitter at times too. As does Froch obviously. Those are 2 big egos.
I remember the build up to Froch/Kessler 2 and reading/seeing interviews from Hunter that were bitter towards the 2 guys. Same with Ward when i saw him doing commentary for the fight. They seemed to resent that it was a fight people looked forward to and enjoyed.
He's said some daft stuff to, like when he said Froch had a bigger fan base because he had no other sport to compete with in his home town, and that Atlantic City wasn't home advantage for him against Froch because flight time from CA was similar to flight time from London.
Froch brings out the worst in Ward. That's why Ward is involving himself in the Froch/Groves tweets to begin with.
But yeah, It's a bit of a cringe exchange from both of them. Their fight was along time ago now.
