Comments Thread For: Groves Not Angered, Says "Fair Play" in Response To Carl Froch

George Groves is not angered by the recent comments from his former rival, Carl Froch. On Monday, Groves has announced his retirement from boxing at the age of 30. Groves, who last fought when he was knocked out by Callum Smith in Saudi Arabia in the final of the World Boxing Super Series in September, said the desire to continue in the sport "had left me".

Sometimes I wish Froch could show some humility and maturity.

Groves made Froch a huge amount of $$$ and never really trash talked him.

Froch comes across a bit insecure lately, he misses the bright lights.

Definitely, and paints him as the much classier of the two in comparison to Froch. Groves may have lost the fight but the memory I have from that first fight is the camera angle looking down at Froch and Froch looking up as if he was having a conversation with the fairies and angels. For someone who pushed Carl so much and helped him fill those venues, you'd think he could be more gracious winner.

Class response from Groves. Something Froch lacks both in and out the ring.

Retiring at 30 with cash in his sky rocket.

He’s a bright guy too you could always tell that. That’s why he wound Froch up so much. Made Froch feel like a pleb from Nottingham
