I dont understand where all this Froch should be classy is coming from. Groves disrespected him for months and months and now everything is supposed to be forgotten?
To be honest I agree really. Groves was an obnoxious little twat back then.
He was deluded too, he kept saying it was his destiny to beat Froch. Those defeats really humbled him. I think they might have made him less irritating in the long run.

This is why it's so ***ed up when refs rob fighters the way that crook robbed Groves in the first Froch fight. Froch the big nosed fggot can now talk shyt on Groves for the rest of his life because he's got two wins on him when in reality they should be split 1-1.

People who wonder why Froch has an extreme dislike of Groves, did you know Carl's family recieved DEATH THREATS from Groves fans after the first fight?

He got *******s of abuse online, for a fight being stopped slightly too early (when anyone who knows george groves KNOWS he was less than 60 seconds from getting flattened anyway)

The flip-flop from british fans was disgusting, saying Groves had given froch brain damage, he was a COWARD and wouldn't fight groves again, his resume was overrated etc etc etc

Basically he took months and months of disgraceful abuse and that's what he associates groves with. It's not about Groves personally but what he reminds froch of.

Froch won the second fight fair and square but Groves had the first fight in the bag. Froch landed a couple of decent shots, then missed about 10 shots in a row and the ref stopped it. Worst stoppage I have ever seen. I will always see Groves as the winner as the first fight. However, against Smith, in a fight I felt he was edging, he showed a lack of desire to get up and continue. But fair play, he became world champion, made millions and retires healthy. Not an all time great, but a very good fighter.

Froch spent even more time disrespecting Calzaghe to get his name in the spotlight, it's not like he doesn't know exactly what Groves' game was.
Calzaghe wasn't bothered, Groves isn't bothered, it's just Froch's grudge he has nothing to gain from. If that's what he wants to do with his time then fair enough. No-one else involved is bothered about getting involved in his personal issues.

Froch was worse with Calzaghe. At the time, their careers were at opposite ends for the fight to happen. Everyone knew it, Froch included. Maybe not getting the fight made him remain irritable.

He’s a bright guy too you could always tell that. That’s why he wound Froch up so much. Made Froch feel like a pleb from Nottingham

I’m a fan of Froch as much as George tbh.

But let’s be honest if George got him out of there in 1 round after that soundbite George would have retired on the spot.

Literally sparked him. Climbed out of the ring. Walked out of the arena in his boxing gear and walked the 300 Miles all the way home to London from Manchester.

                    Boxing. Done.

Fair play to Groves, he just made Froch look like a tit one last time by showing a bit of maturity and not kicking off.
Froch was a tough as old boots fighter but has always seemed a grumpy and bitter old man even in his youth. Apparently Calzaghe ducked him at the end of his career - when he was too old to make 168lbs and had to retire due to his hands breaking all the time. Ward apparently ducked the re-match if you listen to Froch - but their fight was so lop-sided there was no real call for a re-match. And apparently Groves didn't hurt him in the 1st fight and he slipped - slipped right of the end of a glove and onto his ass more like.
