Comments Thread For: Miller's Team Working on Joshua, Still Considering Other Options

Anthony Joshua remains on the hunt and against a ticking clock for his next in-ring challenge, a fact not lost on the leading candidate to land such an assignment. As reported last month by BoxingScene.com senior writer Keith Idec, unbeaten heavyweight contender Jarrell Miller (23-0-1, 20KOs) has emerged as the frontrunner to land a crack at Joshua for the undefeated Brit's unified heavyweight titles. Such a fight would take place in early June at Madison Square Garden in New York City, serving as Joshua's stateside debut.

Since Joshua ducked both Wilder and Fury, I hope he ends up as the odd man out in the heavyweight scene.

        How'd he duck Fury?

He already is the odd man out. Nobody else in the division is a unified champion.

I reckon AJ and Hearn are doing exactly the same thing with Miller as Whyte and Hearn did with Ortiz ... teasing a fight with him in order to get a better deal from the guy they really want to fight.

What goes around comes around, Dillian.

Back when Fury was out of shape, he got into an argument with Joshua outside some event and asked him to fight right then and there on the street. By Fury's account, Joshua didn't rise up to the challenge.

At this stage I think AJ should just cancel Wembley, cancel Miller in NY and fight a keep busy against Pulev at the O2. Then maybe in the second half of the year Miller or Whyte will step up assuming Fury and Wilder fight a third time.
