ANTHONY YARDE will finally get his wish when he challenges for the WBO world light heavyweight title later this year. I am a massive fan of the Ilford fighter and, as his promoter, have been watching him edge closer and closer to a title tilt. Now the WBO have declared that Yarde will meet the winner of next Saturday's fight between champion Eleider Alvarez and Sergey Kovalev.

Warren really needs Yarde to fight at least a fringe contender before he gets him a title shot. Regardless of the skewed justice of getting a title shot by fighting nobodies, if your class of opponent goes from journeymen straight to a world champ then you're likely going to end up on your ass pretty damn quick.

Yarde hasn't fought anyone with a pulse, then he'd be going straight into an elite title fight? If this happens it would be a massacre. Here's hoping it does!
