WBO light heavyweight champion Eleider Alvarez is planning to map out a pure beating in the upcoming rematch with Sergey Kovalev. Last August in Atlantic City, Alvarez (24-0, 12 KOs) pulled off a shocker when he knocked out Kovalev in to capture the WBO crown. The two will collide in a rematch on February 2nd, in Frisco, Texas.

I think Kovalev will come out fighting technical, but Alvarez will beat him to the punches and wear him down as the fight progresses. A valiant rally in the Championship Rounds won’t be enough for Kovalev. UD 12.

Alvarez does it again maybe a bit earlier this time unless Kovalev's plan is to box to a decision...Kovalev's head is so messed up with the legal problems and the fact that he lost by KO. A big cloud over his head. Can't see any other result. And Buddy McGirt can't help at this stage.

Kovalev retires after this fight in order to deal with the legal issues unless his ego tells him otherwise.

Word is Kovalev has been drinking heavy during this training camp & of course McGirt doesn't give a ***** as long as he's getting paid.

I think it comes down to the cards this time, but who knows kovalev doesn’t have the heart for it anymore.
