A different fight than the one you watched I’m guessing, LOL. I get it bro you another one of these haters that seems to think Munguia couldn’t possibly improve or that his strength won’t increase as his body matures. Obviously, you failed to missed all the clinching Inoue was doing, it was the Jap’s brute strength not his pot shots that pushed Munguia back literally after tightening him up. Funny how you disregard Inoue battered face after the fight while Munguia barely had a scratch on his.

However, credit to Lubin for taking Charlo as such a young age but again kid had his light sparked in the 1st round not saying Munguia would beat Charlo now b/c as I said before kid is still a work in progess but I know damn well he would of made it out of the 1st round. De La Hoya also said he would like to put Canelo against Jermall and Munguia against Jermell so take that for what is worth. Yes, improving your offensive repertoire does count as an improvement to me again look at Munguia against Smith head hunting all night w/t Inoue kid was throwing some beautiful one two combos to the body his defense will come with more experience. I mean look @ Canelo when he was 22 no where near the fighter he is now at 28, with time comes improvement and so far Munguia has shown a willingness to learn.
Canelo vs Jermall and Mungia vs Jermell on the same card would sell BIG! It would be a ******ly huge event if advertised properly....as soon as Jermell gets his belt back of course and knocks out Harrison.

Honestly some things don't make sense. Why does jermall struggle so much against slick southpaws (Trout, Koborov) when his main sparring partner is Erislandy Lara?

Why is Jermell such a head hunter when his sparring partner is Errol Spence junior? Shouldn't he know the value of a sustained body attack even if you have lights out power?

Anyway, I would totally love that card, and it would be huge. But its wishful thinking, promoters aint that smart anymore. Don King and Bob Arum used to do this all the time back in the days.

Please the real WBA champ @ 130 is Machado kid beat the real Champ at the time in Corrales. You’re right though having Pedraza and Cellular on your resume is so much better than Smith and Ali, LOL. Let’s no forget Tank next opponent another former 122 lbs in Mares dude definitely loves fighting smaller men but whatever gives him the edge I guess. Funny, how you seem to act like Munguia hasn’t improved in 6 yrs as you say did you go to TJ and see him fight over there? because I find it extremely difficult to believe you been following Munguia’s progress since he turn pro. Right now, you’re talking out of your @zz, the kid has holes in his game no question but he’s also 22 yrs old getting used to a new trainer in Alcazar progression will follow with time and experience.
That "weak champ" gave Loma a great fight and actually fought at the weight class unlike Sadam Ali. Mares is higher ranked than anyone Mungina has fought. If the BS we're seeing from this kid counts as improvement then Mexican boxing must be really trash for him to somehow have been undefeated this long.

he didnt have a scratch because inoue landed about 100 overhand rights on the side of his head

Sure bro, let’s act like Loma didn’t drop Pedraza twice in the 11th round, I guess surving till the 12th means giving Loma a “great fight”, LOL. As for Ali, correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t he end up retiring a HOF in Cotto in his hometown to win that belt? I guess we could skip that part seeing how it doesn’t fit you’re agenda. Isn’t Mares the same dude that got KO’d by journeyman Johnny Gonzalez in the 1st round, hehe. Again, Munguia definitely has holes in his game no one is dis*****g that. His defense is non existent at this point but as I stated before he has shown improvements in his offensive repertoire and with more experience his D as well as his head movement will get better again he’s 22 not 28 yrs old like Hurd who still blocking shots w/t his face at that age.

Seeing how Compubox had Inoue only landing 134 punches out of 542 those 100 punches to the side of Munguia head should of clearly left more damage or it could be that you’re just exaggerating..

Cotto was WELL past it. That's like bragging on Danny Garcia for retiring Morales. Time beat him, not the skill of Sadam Ali. Mares is a 3 weightclass champ. Smith won the Top Rank hide from competition belt the Wbo. Who did he beat for that again?

You're talking down on Hurd, but he has been fighting just as long as Mungina and beat 3 REAL champs at the division thus far so what is excuse? I don't see any reason to believe that he will improve especially considering that they are keeping him away from real fights

How about you mention Davis beating a dude in Cellular who was coming over a year and a half layoff and moving up in weight for a vacant belt. As for those 3 divisions Mares was a champ of don’t forget their all from lower weight classes but anything to give Tank the edge, right? at least Smith has always been a 154 lbs pounder throughout his career.

As for Hurd, I’m simply stating facts. Can you honestly say Hurd doesn’t block shots with his face or doesn’t come in as a super middleweight on fight night? Geez, all you gotta do is watch the Lara fight, Hurd was huge and his defense non existent Lara was popping dude’s face all fight long. At least Munguia is only 22 yrs old and still improving Hurd already 28 don’t know how much better that defense gonna get at his age. Also, doesn’t matter if you consider Ali or Smith “real” champions fact is they both held a 154 lbs belt and that makes them champions.

In another year or two Canelo vs Munguia could be a massively huge fight if Munguia gains ground in popularity + keeps it moving forward by winning vs better & better guys.

Mungia needs to learn how to defend himself before moving up. Inoue tagged him with the same overhand right 7 times a round. Munguia had no answer
