We see this all the time, it time we give respect to the top 5 guys at HW. So this "Guys" or that guy beats them based on another fight is quite disrespectful. Wilder would stop that fat as* and i would be one of the guys who would criticise him for taking a fight like that.

I think I could see 5 or more indie top ten guys who I see as live dogs vs Wilder, although I doubt I'd favor them to win (Joshua & Fury are the only two I'd favor over him off the top of my head which was proved vs Fury & I suspect he'd be a very live dog vs Joshua too).

The thing about Wilder is while he can't box for sh^t at the level he's at, he can fight, has shown a certain toughness + he has maybe the best power in HW history or certainly a long time with maybe most impressively keeping that power for the whole fight which is a much rarer gift than having power.

Wilder's power is a great equalizer. He can f#ck up & lose rounds left & right, but if you make one mistake or Wilder surprises you that could be the fight. Someone will be as perfect as needed one night sooner or later, but outside of Fury or Joshua idk that I'd be confident enough in there abilities or doubtful enough Wilder doesn't land that game changer punch to favor them.
Agree with this. There are plenty of boxers who can win enough rounds against Wilder. They'd just need pretty average skills and a decent reach.

But you have to be exceptional defensively to avoid his right for 12 rounds, or have enough power to punish his flaws and end the fight before he gets you.

Fury is the former type. And he couldn't avoid the right all night, and his movement is about as good as it gets for a big man. Yeah I thought he won the fight, but he still got tagged.

Joshua is the latter and I would rate him a pretty sure thing. Unless Wilder finishes it very early, he'll get outboxed and knocked out.

Kownacki is neither of those. He'd need to make Wilder miss all night and I don't think he would have it in him.

        Good analysis.

If there's one thing Wilder does well, it's "hit" and Kownacki isn't hard to find. The chances are Wilder will hit him early and hard.

I sort of disagree a little about Joshua who, although a better boxer than Wilder, fights a little "scared" and doesn't have the greatest wind. Wilder has shown that he keeps his power late, I think it's more a matter of who landed big first.

I think I'd give Kownacki a shot at getting Wilder before Wilder got him. I don't disagree he's not going to be defensively responsible enough to win through outboxing Wilder.

Again I'm not favoring Kownacki or anything, but I think he's a live dog here. I'd even make him a live dog vs Joshua with his power.

Washington's not a top 20 fighter. I don't see Kownacki being much threat to Wilder currently. I think people will just realize the guys Joshua steam rolled like Martin are better then they thought. I still think Martin wins a rematch possibly with Kownacki. Being Kownacki isn't really top 10 himself is probably why Wilder would go for another cherry pick .

I'm not Wilders biggest fan but no chance this happens. Kownacki is so slow coming forward that Wilder will hit him whenever he wants to. Wilder by KO.
