    I think if you asked a seasoned trainer (something that neither I nor anybody else in this forum can claim to be) he would say that this fight was precisely what Thurman needed coming off such a long layoff. He would also say that the outcome was just about as positive as you could expect from a fighter two years away from the game fighting a seasoned, highly-regarded contender.

      Well, I follow Thurman`s career since Quintana fight back in 2012.

      He looked good fighting Quintana, Zaveck, Guerrero, Bundu, Soto Karass.

      In other fights he didn`t look good but still won clearly. It is the art of living, the art of boxing.

        I must have missed his see I told you so moment.

        I don't remember Thurman talking about not seeing the best version of him. I do remember him telling that he will prove that he is elite, and will also prove why he is the best in the welterweight division.

          He still came through and won after being out for a long time, I'd like to see how he fares in another fight before going up against the divisions best. I want to see the best match-ups at 147 but only if they're at they're best.
