First, let me begin by saying hats off to Manny for still looking pretty good vs a younger guy.
But, let's not get carried away here.
Broner was picked by Pac and his people because of who he has been for years now- a guy that doesn't move his hands much in spite of his obvious talent.
Unless Broner was going to totally revamp his game (and it's on him that he didn't) there was no way he was going to throw enough to outwork Pac even at 40.
The interesting thing is that somehow Broner managed to inflict much more damage on Pacquiao with his few punches than Manny did landing over twice as much.
Broner looked just like he did postfight as prefight; Manny, on the other hand, was visibly marked up and is now under a doctor's care as of this date.
All this is to say that a few of you who follow Pac need to calm the hell down.
He isn't "back"...he never will be.
What Pac is now is a guy that can make money with carefully selected opponents, a guy that will never be a threat to the best in the division.
Whataminute...I just described Pac's whole career at welterweight.
Nevermind, maybe he is back...
