Spence vs Garcia sort of makes sense to be a PPV since its two undefeated p4p guys with strong fanbases...

but why is khan vs Crawford a PPV? They have strong fanbases but the fight is insignificant. Khan hasn't done sht in years and crawford is a -1000 favorite.

I completely ignored Pacquaio-Broner. Didn't even care to watch it for free.

I'll watch the Spence and Crawford fights for free.

How long have we been hearing this? And it's still not happening. If Spence/Garcia and Crawford/Khan do under 200k buys, then that definitely puts a bit of dent in the PPV movement. Then you will have to be a bit more selective on the fights you put on PPV. But even then we will be getting plenty more PPVs.

But the UFC puts on PPVs monthly and they have the most successful business model out there. They are getting FAR more money than any of the boxing deals being thrown out. Like I said, until the PPVs really start to tank, then they will continue to be happen. Canelo leaving to DAZN was the best thing for PBC/ESPN as it opened up slots they can use for their fighters.

Someone said how can they put the Super Bowl and World Cup on network TV but the biggest fights take place on PPV? That's easy, the advertisement money they get for the SB is INSANE and you won't be getting that for boxing. It costs like 5M for a 30 second ad during the SB.

It also supposedly costs like 120M per Monday Night Football game. Networks can get their money back on advertisement money for the NFL, can they get it back on boxing fights? Apparently not or else they would be putting more PPV level fights on network TV.

Cuz of the type fights being made....

          Spence fighting a big name...
          Wilder fought a big name
Pacquaio finally fought someone as popular as him
Crawford finna finna do the same

Promoters gon obviously milk these matchups

Look at the numbers Pac Broner put up.

Idk this was dumbass question imo lol

That's true. I never buy fights because I can always watch the same fight for free within a week. I get DAZN because it's only 10 bucks a month and well worth it to me. I guess they are making money on all these PFV fights or they wouldn't do them. If people stop buying them they would be forced not to do them.

I hope it does bomb. Hopefully send a message to promoters that we won't buy their bs mismatches anymore.
