He tries to come off as a boxing expert when he has never boxed a day in his life. He is just a strength and conditioning coach and nothing more. Trainers and boxers fire him. He is not allowed in Roach's gym or Garcia's gym.

Pacquiao was getting tired of being worked so hard by Ariza and was slowly sidelining him fight after fight until completely benching him for Marquez IV. The growing tension between Roach and Ariza is what made Pacquiao let him go. With Khan he dropped ariza after the maidana fight. For whtever reason he wasnt happy wih ariza, they dropped him and orchestrated a robbery of the contract so khan didnt have to pay him. With robert garcia's gym, according to floyd he was seducing ariza with a bag of money to remove him from maidana's camp in the rematch, according to robert garcia it was things here and there that led to the eventual drop. After that ariza joined floyds side, and has since then been training bums.

        Seems like a personality issue.

The best part about his interview before the AB fight was Pac would lose because he does the same old training.

          Guy makes me laugh!

Fortuna is a pretty good S&C coach himself. But it is telling that Amir Khan, Pacquiao, Garcia and Maidana were at their best physically while under Ariza and his team.

He apparently pushes fighters real hard and joked how pacquiao and maidana would give him looks like they wanted to knock him out(i do remember pacquiao seemed to get off bullying Ariza). I think the only fighters he said that didnt complain were Mikey Garcia and Amir Khan.

Man I just cant see that. You watch Pac workout and I cant imagine anyone wanting more out of him.

In his interview he also said Pac was over training so I dunno how that fits.

It's not the boxing work, it's the other stuff, the strength training, the swimming etc. Pacquiao apparently didnt like the swimming in cold water and force feeding himself. Ariza has on numerous occasions mentioned pacquiao didnt like to be pushed and that they did no s&c for the marquez iv fight. That the best camp they had where pacquiao did everything was the cotto fight.

Besides training Pac plays Bball for 4 hrs a day. I think we all have to remember his age.

Why trainers hate him so much? he seems to be doing a great job and his fighters havent failed a drug test. Can somebody explain?
