Lets start off by saying when he helped Maidana, Maidana performed great. When he helped Manny, Manny was a beast. Lately he was with David "We dont want that work" Benavidez and he looked strong and goos stamina vs that bum from the TMT stable. Why trainers hate him so much? he seems to be doing a great job and his fighters havent failed a drug test. Can somebody explain?

I think because he has a big ego and liked to talk trash about other fighters. I remember seeing him in the buildup to Pacquaio fights trying to make out he was a technical boxing trainer too. Also, I think a lot of folks feel he's shady.
I remember after Marquez got robbed in fight III vs. Pacquaio he pointed out into the crowd and did a "choke" gesture as though Marquez choked. That was BS. Marquez performed far better than the odds (9-1) suggested he would and got robbed. Ariza predicted a first round KO. -
