That was the second fights earnings. I know how to read......obviously. And that statement was for anyone who tries to say Jacobs beat him and deserves to be paid more in lieu of that falsity.Comment

He's definitely an elite, dynamic fighter but he doesn't come off as a must see guy to me in any fashion.Comment

He earned a $5 million purse when he first fought Saul Alvarez in September 2017. With Pay Per View, he earned a total of $22 million from the match. When the two had a rematch in September 2018, GGG was guaranteed $15 million. It's likely that his earnings from the rematch will be $25-30 million.
I suggest you read it over. Not going to dog you for misreading it, but that was for the first fight, NOT the rematch. They made that post on Golovkin before the rematch took place as you can see with them estimating what he would make for the rematch.Comment

Wonder what his guarantee is & what the "up to $15M" entails him achieving.
When it was just PPV it was simpler. If you did 97k buys you effed up. If you did 1M you did great. If you did 2M you did f#cking excellent. Now with these streaming app fights idk what all guys are being judged on. Assume its subscriber based, but wonder is there is more in play? And whats a bad sub, ok sub & great sub numbers? I got no mfing clue.
Either way respect to Jacobs on getting what will surely be his biggest purse. And obviously on this potentially career defining fight.Comment
