The next opponent for IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua could be determined this week, according to the boxer's promoter Eddie Hearn. There is a very short list of opponents. Joshua will return either on April 13th at Wembley Stadium in London or a date in May or June at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

whyte has finally come around...joshua knows what the public wants..we'll let him have this one, anything except a fight with wilder/fury afterwards is unacceptable..we(true boxing fans) don't give a damn about some split talk.. make the fight happen!

It seems like ever since laila ali said joshua needs to work on conditioning and be less muscle bound, he's been doing just that. In my opinion, none of the current crop will beat joshua, and that includes wilder

"End of this weekend, we've really got to start pulling the trigger!" -Eddie Hearn

Doesn't it seem like Hearn has been saying this since prior to Wilder vs. Fury I?

Hearns is actually saying the same thing I was thinking the other day - there's only 4 credible people Joshua can fight. Wilder, Fury, Whyte, and Miller in that order. Anyone else would be a big stinker for the unified champ. If Fury and Wilder are tied up against each other again then Joshua's pool of opponents is actually very small.

Remember when Hearn was pressuring Wilder to make a deal before the Fury fight?

Because they needed time to secure a venue and promote?

Here we are almost in February and still nothing has been finalized for Joshua's next opponent.

Miller and to a lesser extent Whyte are also big stinkers I think
