nope. there was no leg leverage in that punch or dip. all arm, i remember that. edit: my bad i remember he did dip

It was directly on the chin, it's just that it was one of the few shots Tyson actually landed on that fight...

Seriously, it wasn't...I don't have the video, but they showed it on ESPN when they had Douglas as a guest...I think they also may have showed it on the HBO show (tale of the tape), which remember, there are different versions since they continuely edit the show; they do the same with SportsCentury.

The video clearly showed how it hit Douglas's body (chest) first, sliding up to his chin.

It wasn't a straight line to the chin, it made a stop/slide first before reaching the target.

I'll take your word for it Versatile, you def. know what you're talking about when it comes to Tyson.

Still, that punch was an anomaly in Tyson's career. Usually Tyson needed to be set to throw punches and had to deliver them with perfect technique for them to be really effective. He threw arm punches vs. McBride and he couln't do anything to him, and McBride is not a durable guy. Foreman would take him out quick throwing similar punches to the ones Tyson hit him with.

Yes, Tyson benefited from leverage...Foreman really didn't need this, he is a freak...I laugh every time I see the punch he threw at Frazier when Frazier was trying to run away from George.

Somebody should of taught George how to throw with his whole body, that would of been something, but like I said before, it was the boxing Gods that prevented this.

Are you serious? Did you see the twist on Douglas neck? That **** was nasty I was surprised Douglas got up from that although that uppercut really quick and nobody expected it... Douglas was much more fresh than Tyson even though he got knocked down...
