  • Comments Thread For: Harrison-Charlo Rematch Ordered, New Final Eliminator Too

Last month, Tony Harrison dethroned World Boxing Council super welterweight world champion Jermell Charlo with a controversial unanimous decision at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Previously unbeaten Charlo was the aggressor throughout, but neither fighter landed any devastating blows and the judges gave the all-American showdown to Harrison by scores of 116-112, 115-113 and 115-113.

Will they order a Charlo-Korobov rematch? That fight was just as close.

Was there a rematch clause or has Al Haymon ordered the WBC to get Charlo his belt back?

Now, will this be judged under the Harrison scoring system ?

Charlo has to confirm this, so he can train accordingly!

If the judging is done under the Harrison Law, all Charlo has to do in training is stand in from of a mirror with his hands up, and stare, for 3 minute intervals !

Okay, then Jermell has to stand there with his hands down, and let his sparring partner repeatedly pummel him in the face !

That will get him the 10 point rounds, and get the belt back from Harrison!

Pretty sure there was a rematch clause so this wasn't even necessary. I would put this fight on the Hurd/JRock card and then winners can face off next.

Its so weird. According to their own rankings the next contenders without upcoming fights would be Kell Brook and Austin Trout. That would actually be an interesting fight. Maybe not stylistically but it would be a good way for us to see whether or not Brook is capable of making noise at 154.
