No, why would he be? The science shows that 2 netrons of hair (or 4mm in commonspeak) is enough to absorb 12 zyklons of energy - almost equivalent to 1 pound in force / pure kenetic energy. That's quite significant when you factor in AB's beard is much thicker than that. By my estimation his beard would in effect NEGATE 50-60 zyklons of energy.

That could be the difference between getting KOd out cold stiff or surviving to fight another round. This would be pure corruption to let him fight like that and yet another AA getting away with murder. Disgrace.

IDK about rules but I've seen lots of beards in the ring....Duran for one but that was way back. A Sikh was allowed to wear a towel on his head because his hair was way long due to religious reasons.

Number of reasons, mostly being the judges and referee need to see the jaw lines of the fighters to determine if a punch lands. Also, if your fighter got cut, a beard made it harder to repair, got sweat in there, etc. etc. goatees have been allowed by some commissions, all of them employ the "yankee rule" though (you're allowed a mustache"

I have noticed an influx of guys with star power getting away with it, and usually myself and a couple guys will mention it in the fight threads. You'll notice Fury has been forced to shave his beard before a number of fights. Broner also, who always sports a beard is always babyfaced in his matches also.


Also, I've never heard of the Sikh guy. I know there have been some ****** and Sikh fighters recently who have said they should be allowed beards for religious purposes, but the commissions have always stood firm and said "no" and then pointed at other ****** fighters who never wore beards (Naseem Hamed, Muhammad Ali, Etc.)

Yeah I mentioned Duran had a mean beard but he was a star. Fury definitely had to shave. You make good points about cuts....Broner's beard is so long it could poke your eye out.
