because they dragged the negotiation on for sooooo long, trying to weasel out of the fight..... that it cost them a fight date, and they only had to pay Jacobs an extra 250k LMAO

and the first time the two sides negotiated, Chickenkin offered Danny "Quillin money" and then quickly ran off to fight a guy on house-arrest

Jacobs was the WBA regular (irrelevant) champ, and Golovkin was the super-champ, they did not need him..... they did everything they could to avoid that fight

Fact: Jacobs asked the for the fight to be postponed for 5 months because he wouldn't be ready on the stipulated date.

Fact: Golovkin paid Jacobs more than his mandated split for a mandatory fight in order to get it made.

Wilder vs Fury did a gate of 3.5-4 million. Wilder before the Fury fight did 1.2 million vs Ortiz and put 14k butts at Barclays. Jacobs is not even in the same atmosphere as Wilder in terms of name value. Why are you even arguing this? It is not a secret that that Jacobs isn't a ticket seller or a fighter that does good numbers. It is widely accepted that is the case.
