Muhammad Ali's hometown of Louisville, Ky., has renamed its airport in honor of the boxing legend-turned-activist who died in 2016. The Louisville Regional Airport Authority board announced its decision on Wednesday to call the airport the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.

I'm more critical of Ali's legacy than most, but I'm definitely flying thru Louisville for a layover at Muhammad Ali International Airport at my earliest convenience cuz I love it when boxers cross into the mainstream world like this & it isn't getting much more mainstream then getting a airport named after you.
