Respect to Bud for saying nah to Collazo. That was a bs do nothing for him fight & he's in the do big things or go down swinging portion of his career.

Nobody at 31 with daylight burning on their best years with 3 weight division belts around his waist & now several 7 digit paydays on their resume along with #1 p4p talk should wanna keep the slow & steady wins the race pace with their career.

Bud has potential to be the biggest US name in boxing with the right fights & the right W's. And as anyone in his position should be he wants to test how big he can get with bigger names on his resume & maybe some 8 digit paydays. And if Arum isn't for that he's against Bud reaching his max potential in this game.

Absolutely, I mentioned this about a month ago. Listed to Bud's interviews, he said it won't be a problem fighting the PBC guys. So Bob all of a sudden started a campaign of blasting Haymon to show Bud, "see, I'm trying my best but Haymon is the problem here, not me!" This came after Bob saying we don't know who to contact to make any fights so we contacted Angel Garcia instead. Dude, you know damn well who to contact. If a fighter has a manager, you contact them and they present it to Haymon. Danny doesn't have a manager so it goes directly to Haymon unlike say a Wilder or Jacobs.

But definitely feel for Crawford here. Last years of his prime may be wasted but it was hard to turn down the type of deal he got with ESPN/TR. If Haymon could give Danny to say Spence or Crawford, obviously he will feed him to Spence instead. So will be interesting to see when he will get one of these guys. The split PPV is so BS as it’s not even worth doing once for a fight that does 200-300k buys. Arum either has to send Crawford to SHO/FOX or wait until the Spence fight becomes big enough for a split PPV.

At 31 I figure Crawford wants the bigger fights now but honestly I think he isn't going to have to worry too much about longevity. He's got some years left.

Glad he passed on Callazo. However, those Top Rank in house fights will still be made while they attempt to get fights outside the stable.

Crawford isn't going to demand ****; if Khan wasn't so deathly fearful of the taint of getting smashed by a Brit in Britain, Crawford would've grumbled and then still have taken the Collazo fight, crying about folks "ducking" him.

Crawford doesn't have the gumption to sit and force anything, especially after taking all that guaranteed money.

            Don't be fooled

              yep

              the lesson:..... ?

fighters have FULL control over their careers, and are 100% responsible for their resume'

only recently did that " talk to my promoter, he will decide" stuff..... become widely accepted

hiding behind your promoter used to be regarded as avoiding tough competition

Crawford will fight Egis Mean machine next or mike alvarado. Arum has his weak asss diet of top rank fighter ready to be served.
This is a very good point. They would definitely want more than what Khan is offered. Would those fight generate what Khan's name generate for it to happen? I don't know.

Khan does not have any disability and doesn't require a cane to walk, so Bummed is taking a real step up in this one.

You do realize that Arum negotiated with Al Haymon to make a Collazo-Bummed match? Collazo is with Haymon.

So, Arum is frustrated with Haymon because the two negotiated together and made a deal for Bummed- a TR fighter- to fight Collazo- a PBC fighter?

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not. Claiming Arum is frustrated with Haymon for making a deal together sounds like sarcasm, but the rest of the post doesn't.

When it is Thurman or Spence, Arum doesn't know how to get a hold of Haymon. In fact, maybe Al Haymon isn't even real. But when it comes to Collazo, Arum had no trouble getting in touch with Haymon. lmao.
