BoxingScene,com has learned that Germany's Christian Hammer has agreed to terms to travel to the United States for a showdown with Ortiz, with their heavyweight clash penciled in for March 2 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Well, if you can't fight the best, fight often, I guess. I think he realises that fights against the top dogs aren't likely to be forthcoming any time soon so he's just trying to stay active even if that means fighting bottom feeders. If I were him though I'd be looking at opponents like Povetkin or Parker rather than Hammer.

Why not try and fight Povetkin or Pulev. Why is it only big miney fights against title holders he doesnt deserve or bums. Fight a contender to earn a shot FFS.
