I like Russell Jr., but his inactivity is killing his career. He is squandering his prime. Can't say all the blame goes to Leo on this one.

What kill me is fans who have never fought anything have more to say than the fighters themselves so if you have never laced them up shut the _uck _p. Gary has more talent as a boxer than all your family together!

So in that case both main eventers will be paid HUGE bucks while still leaving some for the co-main fighters. But remember as Espinoza said, the better the co-main fight is, it usually comes out of the pockets of the main event fighters as they will be receiving less as a result of that.
I don't mind it happening as a co-main to Wilder/Fury rematch, but I think better chance it happens on SHO.
Jarrett Hurd to defend junior middleweight titles against Julian Williams on May 11
The Ring
Mike Coppinger
Jarrett Hurd, fresh off a stay-busy fight last month, is ready for a much tougher challenge.
Hurd will put his unified junior middleweight championship on the line against Julian Williams on May 11, Williams’ trainer/manager, Stephen Edwards, told The Ring. The fight will be televised on either Showtime or FOX.

This is the guy who avoided Rigo AND Donaire at 122 (leo did too though) and legit ran out of the division.
Does GRJ even fight still though? I’ll never understand the guy’s career moves
Mares wanted to fight Donaire when Mares was still with Golden Boy and Donaire with Top Rank. Mares demanded the fight and he had Richard Shaeffer reach out to Top Rank to try and negotiate the fight.
Richard even sent Top Rank a $3 million dollar contract to be split between Donaire and Top Rank so that Top Rank would allow Donaire to fight Mares on a Golden Boy card but Top Rank refused and said it was low money. So Richard told Top Rank to make an offer so that they can stage the fight and Top Rank ignored Richard.
So learn the facts before you say ****** stuff on here!

This is why I have a love-hate relationship with PBC/Haymon. You got alllllll these guys alllllll these great match ups that can be made. Yet we wait YEARS to get them or never. One minute you hear " Al's just an advisor he can't make them fight" then you hear the fighters saying "I gotta talk to Al and see what he wants to do" which is it?
Santa Cruz and Russell is not even that big a deal to me, they've both been beaten and their inactivity makes it hard to get excited about anything.
I'll never forget the way leo ducked Rigo. Demanded $2million to fight him and then ultimately blamed Haymon for it not happening saying that Haymon told him it wasn't a "good fight".

FINALLY someone says it out loud and it actually gets some publicity.
Never been a big fan of mares. I always thought he was a bit overrated and he's a pretty basic fighter. But he's taking on a tough challenge in tank while LSC is fighting another pointless a$$ matchup.
LSC is the king of wasting TV airtime. He's like reality TV minus the airbrushing.

Afternoon fights on DAZN doesn't really put the WBSS out there for everyone to see and take notice of it. No wonder they were close to cancelling it.
