There are a number of guys ahead of Bivol and Munguia at LHW and JMW in the TBRB rankings. I feel same way about Bivol but I only really have Hurd and Charlo ahead Munguia at 154.

TBRB has Smith ahead of Zurdo but IMO they are equals at 168.
I don’t feel like zurdo has done enough to share the number one spot with smith. Smith won the tournament and beat the consensus number 1 in the division in George groves

Canelo & Usyk are the only two top fighters on your list. I don't understand how you can put bivol in the list ehen after his last fight he was talking about going down to 168 because of his performance against Pascal

At the end of the day, it's about performance.
Crawford is quickly showing he is the best WW exactly how? His fights against Horn and Benavidez? I'd hardly say that.

As for the question at hand, Alvarez currently has the best win at LHW against Kovalev. The second best or on par is Gvozdyk over Stevenson. Can't really say Bivol has shown to be the best. Did have a dominating performance against Barrera but last few performances have been really good, but unspectacular. Can't give Bivol the nod there.

HW wise you can say it is Joshua or Fury for that matter. His two performances against Wlad/Wilder give him the case to being THE man, but Joshua has three belts. So don't care which way you go there. Won't argue it.

Munguia best 154 pounder over Hurd? Child please, one guy has beaten Smith/Ali, other has beaten Harrison/Trout/Lara. No contest.

SMW is a tough one. Smith had a very good performance against Groves, but aside from that has had a few meh performances mixed in. That is a division up in air still. Won't argue either way if you go Benavidez/Smith/Plant.

MW is GGG or Canelo. If you thought GGG won both fights he is the man, and if you thought Canelo won the second one then he is the man. If you go official result obviously it is Canelo. But good chance DAZN ends up with GGG so it is a moot point really. They have majority of the top guns at MW.

CW is a no brainier though Usyk may be done for good at that weight class.

For the life of me, I'll never understand how Bud can be considered the #1 P4P fighter in the world (or #2 to Loma), but isn't considered the best WW in the world.

Not sure why he's going there; I know World of Boxing has a connection with Eddie Hearn, but the best light heavyweights are over on ESPN.

I mean Mayweather was P4P best fighter in the world but if he went up to MW, would he be considered the best MW? Garcia is rated above Spence on every P4P list, but who is the favorite in that match up? Why is Garcia not rated higher as a WW than Spence?

Being P4P does not equate to being best in another weight class. You have to earn that reputation.

#EarnedNotGiven (LBJ voice).....If you are a Brit you probably wouldn't know what that means, but it is a ****** catchy hashtag LeBron always uses on his tweets/posts lol.

Except this was a move up one weight class, not two...to a division that didn't have a #1.

I mean we can't seriously consider Thurman #1 after taking a 2 year hiatus. And Spence?? His resume is hardly anything to brag about.

I think a good thought experiment is thinking about what the Vegas odds would be in any given fight. IMO Bud is the favourite against any WW.

Spence beating Brook was sure as hell better than anything Crawford has done at WW.

Would Crawford be the favorite against everyone? I don't know, but he isn't getting the best WW in the world moniker from me for beating Horn/Benavidez.

Spence beating Brook was the single best win at WW from the top guys (excluding Pacman). Then it is Porter/Garcia for Thurman. Well, I mean I guess Horn over Pacman also is up there.

At the very least, it was far from clear who the #1 is at WW, and that includes Crawford.

                    CW - Usyk

                    LMW - Munguia
When you put it that way I think they do. Bivol and Munguia are not for fact the best in their weight class and I think GGG is at least as good a middleweight as Canelo. I believe Bivol can beat anyone at 175 and Munguia can beat anyone at 154 but many would disagree. Anyway they have the best or one of the best boxers in all weight classes from 154 up.

True but they have done enough and are looking good enough that no boxer in their weight class should be rated above them. They are both near the top of their class.
