Beterbiev is already about to turn 34 in less than a week.
His career is going to be over as soon as he starts. We will never see him in his prime because it's already probably slipped on by. Such a waste.Comment

He actually said that? Didn't know that. Then yeah, obviously that isn't the case then. Actually it wouldn't have been the case even if he had Beterbiev due to ESPN having Alvarez/Gvozdyk/Ramirez and potentially Kovalev. How do you control the division where there are equally the amount of top guys on another network?
I think he's out of his depth.Comment

Beterbiev is probably the most treacherous, disloyal fighter in the sport.
It seems that he's determined to abandon every manager or promoter that
has the unfortunate luck of working with him.
Fans were actually siding with Beterbiev when he tried unsuccessfully to
sever his contract with Yvon Michel. It's not GYM (or any other person)
that has held Beterbiev back. He has hindered his own career by
making poor decisions.Last edited by Lemonhead_Jeff; 01-15-2019, 03:29 PM.Comment

It won't be long before Beterbiev is trying leave Top Rank.
This wont be different than his dealings with other promoters.Comment

Can we just see Beterbiev vs some top f#cking guys all damn ready. Was up on him big a couple years back, but he's went nowhere very slowly & I'm leaning more towards him being a bust, for his ability, now then potentially the #1 guy in the division.
I don't care what platform it takes place on lets just see it already.Comment

[QUOTE=bigdunny1;19433420]Beterviev entire career has been a mess, long layoffs, turning down or backing out of fights and he's been connected with top power brokers in boxing basically through out. He was with Haymon for years never got big fights and turned down a career payday and shot at Kovalev. He was supposedly with Hearn and turned down a big opportunity to fight on the undercard of Canelo fight. The smith fight was announced and he backed out that fight. Now he's moving to ESPN hopefully he actually gets his career on track and starts making meaningful fights. But we have had numerous power brokers guiding his career and somehow some way the fights never happen and he's already 33 and wasted his prime away.[/QUOTE
True but fighters do carry on until there 33-40 but those fighters don't take much punishment and Beterbiev does due to his fighting style.Comment
