Greatest since it was 200Lbs for sure... not sure you could put him clearly ahead of Holyfield if you're going back to the days of 190Lb cruisers. Dudes are actually fairly comparable... Evander had 18 fights at Cruiser and became undisputed after 17, Usyk's had 16 and was undisputed after 15.
Holyfield's wins over Qawi will probably be regarded historically greater than anything Usyk achieved to date but beyond that there ain't really much to separate 'em.Comment

I’d argue that Breidis, Gassiev and Bellew in 12 months is better than the Qawi win. But either way, what’s left for Usyk to do at CW? Fighting Lebedev does nothing for legacy.Greatest since it was 200Lbs for sure... not sure you could put him clearly ahead of Holyfield if you're going back to the days of 190Lb cruisers. Absolutely I agree that fighting a well past prime Lebedev would seem to have little point... Lebedev would be kinda tying up a loose end, maybe, since he ran Gassiev so close, but then where do you end.. Tabiti? Dorticos? Okolie?
OTOH if there isn't a HW fight that is even halfway decent immediately available maybe a top 10 Cruiser would be preferable to inactivity?
IDK I was quite excited to hear rumours of a possible Ortiz or Povetkin match up so I'm still holding out hope for those. Hell I'd even go with a washed up Delboi or By-By just to get his feet wet in the unlimited class, but Denis is definitely better than nothing.Comment

Lebedev is usyk’s mandatory. That’s why I brought him up. If he stays at CW it’s an awful fightAbsolutely I agree that fighting a well past prime Lebedev would seem to have little point... As for him going to HW, nobody wants to be the first big boy to lose to a cruiserweight, no matter how talented he is. Might as well be Dave AllenComment

If you actually read my post I'm saying he maybe ain't quite there yet - and that's just comparing their Cruiser reign, which really ain't leagues apart. I ain't alone in comparing them, either. You like Breadman? He says of Usyk 'no worse than the second best Cruiserweight in history'. No-one else except Holyfield has been undisputed at Cruiserweight and no-one at all has has the success of Usyk since it was shifted to 200Lbs.
Course, Holyfield went on to unify at Heavyweight too, which sets them well apart - at least for now. But comparing their Cruiser reigns ain't ridiculous at all.
Seems to me them tinted nostalgia shades you got may be interfering with your reading comprehension, man. You could try taking them off.Comment
