Very few ever cared for him. His fans in here you could count with one hand. When he was barking at Loma though he suddenly got popular. Not because anyone really liked him, but they just thought he could knock off Loma.

I'll be impressed if someone makes Rigo quit at 122

Before the fight, Rigo was coming in as P4P greatest, 2 time olympic gold medalist, and was supposed tear off Loma’s jaw with his monster left and much higher speed due to being a bit smaller and lighter. But then the next morning he was nothing more than a brittle small man.Last edited by Vlad_; 01-14-2019, 10:21 AM.

In my view, more than anything else, Rigo could not handle the psychological pressure of the moment. He stepped to the ring and quickly realized he was in over his head and his ego could not accept getting outclassed in front of the world. Loma was a younger, bigger and better fighter. Rigo caved mentally and had what amounted to a nervous breakdown in there. He s-h-i-t himself and ruined his entire legacy by quitting on his stool and faking an injury. I actually felt bad for the guy because he can never recover from that loss. His corner should have slapped him across the mouth and forced him to dig deep like a champion, but they just let him quit so they have some blame too. Loma, for his part, didn't really even get warmed up.Last edited by NachoMan; 01-14-2019, 11:12 AM.
