I along with many others think Wilder is the only one who can up their game from the first fight.

Think Ward-Kovalev I and II. Yes Kovalev still had success in the second fight as he did in the first, but Ward's adjustments were the deciding factor.

I see the same scenario playing out here in Wilder's favor.

Bro I watched that whole fight, rooting for Wilder mind you, watching after the 2nd kd in the 12th round unfortunately doesn't change that Wilders only has the right hand. I hope he proves me wrong but when it comes to boxing skill he is inferior to both AJ and Fury.

Yeah but his power is real and always there. He doesn't need to make huge improvements. He fires looping punches from too far out that Fury can see a mile away. Cut down on that, straighten up his punches and Fury won't see the 12th round. There were times when Fury was on the ropes and there were clear opportunitues to land to the body or a straight right to the head and he throws looping haymakers. People were scratching their heads thinking "what the hell are you doing"

I'm just saying in 2nd KD you can clearly see he countered Fury and then followed up by right hand and left hook did the same to Ortiz too

Wilder sets up the right hand and his timing is good he is not usually just a right hand, something was off about him in Fury fight he came in light he was just throwing the right hand maybe the pressure got to him I expect a much improved Wilder in the rematch

You have that comparison azz backwards...Fury is the one in the Ward role, he's the more versatile and was the one coming off a layoff, he got put down in the first fight. Also there are similarities with the way Wilder hasn't owned his performance like Kovalev. The only way it's dissimilar is the fact that Kovalev was the one who was perceived to have got robbed (I actually thought It was an either way fight)

I think Fury buckled Wilder a few times in that fight but it wasn't that obvious...I can remember at the end of the first round Fury lands a right hand around the side of Wilder's head and his legs stiffened a little, it wasn't all that noticeable especially to an untrained eye, but I did. There was a reason Wilder wasn't rushing in getting more aggressive...

I like the boxer in the rematch, and don't be surprised if he properly hurts Wilder this time. I can always be wrong...sometimes the puncher lands, but more often than not, the polished guy is the one you back especially if he has a mental game like Fury's.

That's not what happened. He threw the same 1-2 he had been throwing all fight...but a few things happened...Wilder used that throwaway jab which slightly blinded Fury, and Fury bends at the waist to his right like a lot of slick fighters it's one of his pet defensive moves, only this time he did it from a bit too far away, probably a miscalculation, maybe fatigue, anyway it happened. Earlier in the fight that same sequence would lead to Wilder swinging and Fury slipping underneath the right hand...this time it lands clean.

To his credit Wilder predicts where Fury's head is going to be, down to Wilder's left, which is not easy, especially in the 12th round, but it was a defensive lapse...Not Wilder creating an opening.

I do agree though his ability to set up power punches is underrated

Lastly...There was nothing off with him, what was off was that he was fighting by a mile the best defensive fighter he's fought and he was getting outboxed by a better boxer

Fury boxed beautifully in the first fight.

Wilder was the one who was anxious and could never get in a groove, he came in trying to knock Fury's head off instead of coming in behind a jab and setting up his shots properly instead of loading up on power shots until he landed one.

Fury will go into the second fight and box beautifully again, Wilder is the one who can and will make drastic improvements from the first fight. He has the ability and the tools to fight much better, I've seen him box better in other fights and use his jab a lot better as well as not get winded loading up on bombs. He will also come in heavier and be able to impose his will on Fury more.

Not only is it me making this comparison, but many others are INCLUDING Andre Ward himself who said he see's the fight playing out the second time around as his second fight with Kovalev did, with Wilder reminding him of himself. So if that's not enough evidence right there to back my claim, I don't know what is.

He wasn't able to use his jab and do those 'things' because the other guy was better, he was in with a higher level of competition.

When did Ward say this? Are you lying? Because as far as I've seen he said Fury won and Wilder won't take the rematch

I'll just go back to what I posted before the fight

Wilder usually has those advantages which is why he can throw bombs. He picks the distance he wants to fight at and smashes jabs and straight rights (followed by windmills).

Without those advantages, I think he'll be forced to step in... where he's facing a man taller and heavier than him. He'll get bullied and leant on.

If Fury is for real, I don't see Wilder with any more than a puncher's chance.
Haven't seen anything to change my mind. Against most of the guys he's faced he can work his jab but he's at a reach disadvantage against Fury. He can try stepping in but Fury has the better movement, counters and can tie him up if he chooses.

He says he got too focused on throwing his right hand... but it was only his pressure that got him any rounds (on some cards) outside the knockouts. I wouldn't be taking that away - fewer punches than the last fight isn't the answer.

For me, Wilder's only chance is to do exactly what he did last time... but hope he knocks Fury out this time. He's going to get completely outboxed.

Mind you, no-one seems to be asking what Fury should do differently. After all, he left without the belt.

And also finish with the left hook, but he figured that out by the end of the first fight.

This. I mean he doesnt have to become the next larry holmes but he needs to develop a few different methods of being less predictable to land his big right more. It doesnt do him any good to swing for the fences over and over if Fury can see it coming and is already barely in range in the first place and can just back up and let the wild looping hand miss. Feints, lead rights, mixing it up with body attacks, getting Fury to lower his guard. A few different variations to make each time he throws less predictable.

All those haymakers will tire him out as well. He should have went for Fury's body last time knowing how badly he abused it. Fury is good at conserving energy, especially for his size, he throws arm punches to land, score and frustrate his opponent, he plans for 12 rounds and throws with lower intensity for it.
