I heard Michael Bisping say that sometimes in sparring a really good pro can have problems with a total novice with no technique who just spazzes out and throws punches like a ******. Because they just aren't used to it.

Is this what happened in Floyd/Maidana?

Yes. Maidana's angles are very unorthodox.

Look at Sam Soliman, another terrible fighter but gets wins because his angles are atypical.

Look at who he lost to, Kotelnik? Maidana just had good power and fought strong. His technique is shít.

lol I would say that, Maidana really didnt do anything out the norm or anything Mayweather hasnt seen before Maidana just brought it with serious fire power behind him where Mayweather had to respect it more seriously and Maidana brought it a high intensity level that didnt really let mayweather settle in so much, lets not act like Maidana was some novice in their he was pull countering Mayweather with ease, set traps on mayweather, and rough em up where needed.

Mayweather always gonna have problem with someone like Maidana cause his overhand right gonna land no how much mayweather tucks his chin behind his shoulder.

I remember before the 1st fight against Mayweather, both Khan and Broner agreed on one thing about Maidana which was that couldn't see his punches coming.

Maidana has naturally heavy hands and doesn't need to set himself up to throw hard punches which allows him to swing them from weird angles which are hard to see.

Nah Maidana has very good Ring iq...he just isn't technically sound but that works in his favour. He had the right game plan and it showed, he gave Floyd alot of problems that he hadn't seen since the Castillo fight.

First of all Maidana didn’t do ok, Maidana straight up beat Gayweather’s ass.

Second of all Maidana did good because he ignored Floyd’s feints and traps he just went in there and threw his own shyt from unorthodox angles.

Yes, but unskilled isn't the word I would use. He approached Mayweather with a strong educated jab, not just throwing it out for the sake of keeping Mayweather preoccupied but actively capitalizing to position himself to where he could throw all of those looping hooks and get in on him. He was one of very few recently who challenged Mayweather in the clinch as well.

Too many opponents get hypnotized and allow Mayweather to clinch them which either resets the fighters if you're lucky, or Mayweather will come out of the clinch and hit you first if you aren't lucky. So many fighters lack inside skills so he can actually come out of those, but Maidana didn't allow him to coast there.

Very smart, deliberate approach from Maidana. Not pretty, but he deserves more credit than being called unskilled.

I still cant believe how insecure Floyd was. Had to take every percussion maybe its anxiety idk but making Maidana wear the gloves of his choice for both fights. At least the second fight had Floyd screaming like a little girl lol.

No you bellends. The same way you can shut Broner out by working him Mayweather won't throw with you, but mainly defend most punches, Maidana took advantage of his style.
