Then the week of the fight I hit him to confirm and then he says oh nah, I couldn't make it. After he had already told me that he had tickets. That's what a puss is. Mexican warrior /pride my ass.

Couple Canelo top fights should have an asterisk * next to them. He has a good resume but he gets more credit for fighting top names then top fighters to me. That's not to say he never fought ANY top fighters. To really sit here & pretend udk if Andrade would beat people like Cotto, Mosley, Khan, Fielding etc is factitious. If Andrade woulda fought Charlo at that time he woulda got called a bum same way ppl did AFTER Charlo Lubin & Charlo Williams. Those were 50-50 fights going in, but now they're "bums". Smfh. Canelo has brothers nobody talks about & that's all THAT Charlo would've been. But you don't hear me tho...

Andrade also deserves more credit for fighting Fox. For him to fight the biggest 160 on record in his first fight at the weight should be commended. You can call him a bum all you want but most "contenders" not the elite won't wanna fight him. I rather see actual credible fights rather than "top names" but that's just me. Casuals might like Spence vs Mikey but anyone who knows anything know that's a bad fight. Casuals might wanna see Spence vs Broner but anybody who knows anything knows that's a bad fight but what are both those fights "names". Idc about your name if the level of talent don't match so yea I ain't the average boxing fan.

Idk about close fights, entertaining, & competitive in regards to all Canelos step up fights. Never used the word scared in regards to Canelo. Canelo is an Irish looking Mexican pretty boy with red hair. To say Andrade maybe should've been more strategic is unrealistic for so many reasons I might be here all day tryna explain why. Canelo represented money early on which is why he got pretty much every fight he wanted..


It's amazing to me how you can acknowledge the risk of Andrade but say idk if he can beat the people Canelo fought. C'mon man stop it. & Yea he does have to wait for a big fight making him the most avoided fighter in the division until further notice.

I said Andrade passes the EYE TEST. the eye test is just visual. But a fighter has to fight the fights. Lomachenko passed the eye test but got beat by Salido. Linares passed the eye test but got beat by Sergio Thompson and Antonio DeMarco. It’s a reason they actually have the fights instead of just talk about them and assume the better looking guy wins every time.

I don’t know if Andrade would have beat Charlo when they were scheduled either.

Yes. Andrade is a risk. Yea. Andrade has talent. Yea. I’d like to see Canelo Vs Andrade. All I was saying in my original post was Andrade has no room whatsoever to say “Canelo can’t just fight bums” like that is Canelos M.O. Canelo has a great resume. I don’t count wins over Khan Chavez Kirkland or Angulo as good wins at all. Keep the asterisk. Those are tune ups.

I count trout as a good win for the time that it took place.

Lara and Cotto were great wins. No asterisks. Close fights. I thought Alvarez lost both of them but they were close and debatable. Lara was prime. Cotto was still good and at a comfortable weight.

The wins over Golovkin were great. Again, thought Alvarez lost the first but clearly won the second. Tough tough fights.

And might I add that I would not have rather seen Andrade in the ring against Canelo instead of any of the fights I mentioned at that time. His time is coming. He is active now and getting screen time. He should fight Jacobs or Charlo or someone good to really put a stamp on that paper title he has right now before moving on to Canelo. But hey, if he keeps fighting bums because he can’t get anyone in the ring w him, do that until Alvarez is ready.
