Smh this guy.. Canelo has one of the best resumes in boxing who does Andrade think he is?! God that was a painful read..

don't know but maybe his mindset was that for the past 4 plus yrs, Canelo has faced 7 different opponents, and 5 of those 7 would be considered low level undeserving opposition.

The longer you are a boxing fan the more you realize people use old re-hashed irrelevant things to defend certain people. "Oh he's a multi division champ", "Oh he's beat more names (which a lot of times are just names people are familiar with), "he hasn't done nothing to earn the fight". They always say this shlt when you're a threat! Who has Canelo unequivocally beat that Andrade can't??? I'll wait. Canelo has done strategic things to increase his popularity but none of that means he's more talented then Andrade, all that other shlt means nothing.

I for one was not speaking on TALENT. Andrade said Canelo can’t just fight bums. My point is Canelo DOESNT fight just bums. He fights top fighters. Who knows if Andrade COULD beat the fighters Canelo has faced ? Andrade has never fought anyone so I don’t know how good he is. He had a chance to fight Charlo and instead pissed his career away. Meanwhile, as you said, Canelo has been doing strategic things to increase his popularity, IE: Fighting top names, which I would assume is the smart thing to do and is what boxing fans actually want to see, but I could be ******ed.

Canelo has had close fight after close fight when he steps up. But he continuously steps up. All the fights are good, entertaining, and competitive when he is fighting a top guy. Canelo isn’t a guy who’s scared. Really people. Stop it. Maybe his team is strategic as you say, but so far he’s made 85 percent of the fights he should have made. Maybe if Andrade had been more strategic about his career he would have the name recognition to close the risk/reward gap and challenge Alvarez. But he didn’t. And now he’s too good for a strategic team to fight because he doesn’t bring the value. That’s how this stuff works folks. And that’s how it’s going to continue.

Andrade passes the eye test. He is a dynamic fighter who would be a good fight for any top name at 160. But he is just getting himself back on the map, so maybe, just maybe, he has to wait a bit before getting a big fight.

no, the question is why do you love Canelo so much that you get emotional and defensive towards anyone who doesn't love him as much as you do? I personally don't like entitled fighters who get title shots that they don't deserve, consistently get scorecards that they don't deserve, who drop titles to specifically avoid an opponent. I also don't like fighters who consistently over the past 4 yrs selectively fought over matched low level opponents or waited out opponents until they feel that they're old enough to take a chance with, and lastly, I don't like ped cheats in boxing. Now your unconditional love allows you to look past those things. Even find ways to defend them. But unlike you, as a boxing fan, those are things that I can't support. And if you're being honest with yourself, if you weren't Mexican (or had the severe man crush that you do) you probably wouldn't support it either.

Couple Canelo top fights should have an asterisk * next to them. He has a good resume but he gets more credit for fighting top names then top fighters to me. That's not to say he never fought ANY top fighters. To really sit here & pretend udk if Andrade would beat people like Cotto, Mosley, Khan, Fielding etc is factitious. If Andrade woulda fought Charlo at that time he woulda got called a bum same way ppl did AFTER Charlo Lubin & Charlo Williams. Those were 50-50 fights going in, but now they're "bums". Smfh. Canelo has brothers nobody talks about & that's all THAT Charlo would've been. But you don't hear me tho...

Andrade also deserves more credit for fighting Fox. For him to fight the biggest 160 on record in his first fight at the weight should be commended. You can call him a bum all you want but most "contenders" not the elite won't wanna fight him. I rather see actual credible fights rather than "top names" but that's just me. Casuals might like Spence vs Mikey but anyone who knows anything know that's a bad fight. Casuals might wanna see Spence vs Broner but anybody who knows anything knows that's a bad fight but what are both those fights "names". Idc about your name if the level of talent don't match so yea I ain't the average boxing fan.

Idk about close fights, entertaining, & competitive in regards to all Canelos step up fights. Never used the word scared in regards to Canelo. Canelo is an Irish looking Mexican pretty boy with red hair. To say Andrade maybe should've been more strategic is unrealistic for so many reasons I might be here all day tryna explain why. Canelo represented money early on which is why he got pretty much every fight he wanted..


It's amazing to me how you can acknowledge the risk of Andrade but say idk if he can beat the people Canelo fought. C'mon man stop it. & Yea he does have to wait for a big fight making him the most avoided fighter in the division until further notice.

I say positive things about plenty of fighters, including Mikey garcia, Crawford, usyk and others. I also say negative things about other fighters such as khan, Joshua, and others. But the only thing you focus on is Canelo because you're obsessed with him and anything negative said about him by anyone sparks an emotional female like response from you.
