I don't understand the hold up. I know Bob wants the fight and Loma wants the fight. I question does Mikey really wants the fight? I wonder perhaps, if Loma move over to the PBC, then would M. Garcia consider fighting him?

Bob is certainly not babying or overprotecting Loma but he still protects him like a businessman protects his investment, as he does with all his high-profile fighters. There's little incentive for him to match Loma against Mikey at this point. A promotional company would only walk one of its star fighters in the lion's den if they want to cash him out. Loma took big risks early in his career because it was in his contract. I remember reading that TR's matchmakers strongly advised him not to take the Salido fight.

I'm almost one hundred percent sure of two things: a) If Loma was bigger than Mikey, Bob would have jumped at the chance to make a clash happen (cf. Bud-Gamboa or Loma-Rigo). b) If Mikey was still with TR, no way Bob agrees to let him fight Spence.

I can't answer your last question. I think there was never any serious discussions to make this fight happen.

Only way Bob makes fights with other top stars not aligned with Top Rank is if they agree to whatever terms he dictates. They must agree to whatever purse he offers and must fight under his network, when was the last time any top tier TR fighters fought on a different network without it going to a purse bid? Arum wouldn't allow both Ramirez to enter the WBSS because he would have no say.

If both Arum and Loma want the fight as much as they say they do, would they consider Loma fighting Mikey on Showtime or Fox with PBC being the lead promoter? Hell no they wouldn't. Arum knows that none of the top tier fighters from PBC would just concede to all his demands and fight on ESPN, just like Arum wouldn't allow his top tier fighters to do that and agree to all the terms any PBC fighter offered to fight on Showtime/Fox.

The first opponent he fought in Salido he lost to and vs linares he was dropped and down on all cards.

Loma has no problem fighting fighters who are smaller than him in rigo

Or fighters who have been knocked out in Pedraza or dudes who came back from back to back wars in rocky.

Why can’t he enter a fight he is suppose to lose and attempt to show his greatness instead he fights bums and midgets
Spoken by the moron who called three top European fighters Eurobums. Get lost with your biased worthless opinions. You've been properly trashed here today.

You may have a point. Outside of winning a purse bid I just don't ever see Mikey Garcia fighting under the Top Rank banner again. If only Arum and Haymon could put aside their differences just for once; Then perhaps they can get that fight made in the future.

                Picture says it all!!!

                This picture says it all,

The only reason this picture was taken is because MIKEY went to the set where loma was doing an interview, It was Mikey that went out of his way to get to Loma, so thia proves that mickey was trying to make the fight!!!

again this picture was only possible because Mickey went to the set where loma was doing and interview!!

THE PROOF IS IN THE PICTURE!!!

BOB ARUM IS THE REASON THIS FIGHT HAS NOT BEEN MADE!!!

Lomachenko chose Pedraza for the end of the year fight. Not Mikey.

That says it all. How long was Mikey supposed to wait around for him?
