Both men fought at a higher weight than their last fight before but that doesn't matter. All that counts is where did they fight in their last fight and which weight class is their natural weight class. Mikey: Lightweight, Spence: Welterweight.
He had a legitimate belt at 140! Obviously he can and did compete there. Not just compete, win a title. This is not a 2 division jump, it's a 1 division jump.

Satiev mr eastern euro lover, isn't loma's best opponent 2 weight divisions lower? Isn't GGG's 2nd best win 2 weight divisions lower?

Do you know that Garcia has fought at 140 more times than he's fought at 135? Hes fought as a super lightweight 3 times while only fighting at 135 twice.

So i would say he's moving up 1 weight class. I'm still rooting for mikey though, just want inform you with facts.

He brought him up 2 weight classes. No need to justify or pretend otherwise.

Loma never asked to fight Rigo, but Rigo kept on running his puto mouth and calling Loma out, and then quit like a hoe. Most of Loma’s wins are solid opponents.

Spence should move to #1 or 2 P4P after this fight.

He brought Rigo up 2 weight classes which is what the thread starter mentions. It's just a fact that has to be accepted.

You and AKAcronym look very weak for your comments. No one criticized Loma or his resume.

More like 2 and a half because Rigo is small even at 122 and could have easily fought at 118. Taking this into consideration, I'm not sure this is Loma's best win.

The level of hypocrisy in this thread is unreal

Golovkin fans need to make the boxing world a huge favor and jump down the nearest bridge.

He was WW that moved up to MW. Just like Mikey was a 135 fighter that moved up. Doesn't matter what weight they are fighting at now, they were both pretty much fighting at lower weights and moved up to fight a career MW in GGG and WW in Spence.

I didn't take offense to it. Loma knows as much as we do that that win isn't considered his best. I actually don't care if you did criticize Loma or his resume. I just find it funny how posters talked about how a fighter is dragged as if it's somehow against their will, kicking and screaming. Rigo chose to go up 2 classes. Yes, it's a fact (literally nobody has disputed that), but he did it to himself. Same with Brook, possibly Mikey if things go bad and many others. They don't have to make such huge jumps if they don't need to.
