When you turn pro that young, it's no wonder he was at such a lower weight. He hadn't grown into his body yet. If he was a WW, he would have stayed there longer, just as he did with SWW. Guy clearly wasn't done growing yet.

Yes, it's a fact (literally nobody has disputed that), but he did it to himself. Same with Brook, possibly Mikey if things go bad and many others. They don't have to make such huge jumps if they don't need to.
This is a reasonable response Rigo and Mikey are doing it willingly. Same can be said for JMM, Brook, Kahn, etc. etc. I get that it does sound like they were being forced when they are not.

I responded that way because it felt to me like your initial response seemed to defend the move even though I didn't criticize Loma. All good.

You and AKAcronym look very weak for your comments. No one criticized Loma or his resume.
He didn't bring Rigo anywhere. Rigo refused to fight Loma at 126, but then kept on calling Loma out and fought him at 130 for less money. Loma himself refused to take credit for the win. I personally don't think it's a good win for Loma at all, as I've always considered Rigo to be boring overrated garbage.

More context is needed to properly evaluate this statement. There is an inference here that IF your best opponent is not from the same weight class as yourself then it denigrates your resume, and it might.
But perhaps your division is dormant / has no decent boxers in it, and the weight(s) below it are stacked. You could still be an amazing fighter if you cleaned out a weak division and ALSO beat the star of a lower weight. This comes back to the proven maxim that 'you can only beat what's in front of you.'

Mikey is sure as hell a better opponent than the other 4 welterweight champs are fighting. Pac is fighting Broner who Mikey beat so easily. Porter is fighting Ugas who has lost to nobodies. Thurman is fighting Lopez who is ranked number 35. Crawford is fighting Khan who must be a 10 to 1 underdog. Mikey would be a big favorite to beat any of those four opponents. Spence is fighting by far the best opponent and he already went to England and KOed big welterweight Brook who beat Porter in the USA. MAN DOWN!
Garcia did not beat the hell out of broner. he won in a s hit fight. it was horrible

No, ggg's best win was against jacobs. Lomo's best win is probably linares. Even if it is rigo, people like you and half the forum had it a 50/50 fight and had rigo beating lomo. No one is giving mikey a chance here.
