When did the tables turn on De La Hoya?

De La Hoya might be one of the most hated people in Boxing currently.

However, there was a time when he was the "Golden Boy" and was well respected.

    So, what went wrong?

He lost all his integrity as anybody related to the sport of boxing and went straight for the paper.

When he started doing coke and started acting like an idiot? When pictures started leaking of him wearing fishnets? I mean the Golden Boy persona was great and all, but like SRL, he always had his demons. And for the life of me, I can't understand how successfully the sexual assault case of an underage girl got swept under the rug. Like no one ever brings it up but not good details at all. Basically paid that family off. Times have changed though, imagine if that happened in today's world??? No chance he would have kept his good image for as long as he did.

He got some kitchen untensils as a Christmas present from his mother. Since he can't cook and hates cooking He then thought, what the hell! These are useless may as we shove them up my ass for all the good they will do me.

I think you ingest too much onsided media/social accounts narrative cause Oscar is still very much liked and respected in the sports. Theirs a reason why GBP can thrive even after all of Oscar mishaps etc and TMT with the backing on Al Haymon, Showtime, Mayweather cant established their self more than a glorified clothing company that also happens promotes a few fighters (which 90% want out of their contract).

If Oscar didn’t have runs with coke, whores, probably some internal political turmoil, and no Haymon grudges... Canelo’s Clen would’ve been hidden under the rug like Francisco Vargas.

The tables turned when ODH asked them to buttf-ck him.

The whole #metoo movement now would have ended Oscar to if that girl would have came out now and brought up charges.
