I am confused here. Didn’t all of GGG fans love the idea of Mexican style? Even those that like Golovkin, wouldn’t it make more sense for a Trainer who has loads of Mexican style be more ideal for Golovkin?

especially not good as you age because you become slower. elevation training makes you slow.

GGG needs to train at sea-level to finetune his body and adapt. Speed is his biggest issue now in his late 30's.
I don't understand how GGG is no good anymore when he just defeated Canelo on two separate occasions only to have Canelo to continuously get gifts..

      You guys are seriously mental.

****** thread and lots of ****** posts. I agree with Larry here, GGG in the last 18 months has proved himself elite, but he's not, never was and never will be dominant at that level. He was an offensive juggernaut at lower levels the same way Ricky Hatton was and other fighters of that ilk.

GGG was WAY overhyped pre Brook, and that perception has slowly been aligning with reality over the past couple of years. The reality is that he is elite but not special, he isn't top 3 p4p and was NEVER that calibre, he doesn't have enough strings to his bow.

He's a formidable fighter, elite, a handful for almost anyone in history at 160, but he's beatable and I think many of the greats would have beat him, some in a one sided manner

I thought GGG beat the great Canelo twice. He fights pretty damn good right now. Horn's trainer is a terrible choice. He trains Horn who is a mediocre fighter who will never be a champion again unless he can get a champion to come to his back yard again to get robbed. Garcia is an excellent trainer of attacking hard punching fighters and he would be a good choice of new trainer for GGG.

No not at all. We as boxing fans need to accept the fact that as one reaches late 30's they are no longer in their prime. Roy jones jr was getting koed by bums in his late 30's. GGG is getting robbed by the number 2 guy 10 years his junior.

Guy has a draw and a one/two round difference defeat against what the same people consider among boxing's current best and he's a bum or a hypejob. That shhhh makes no sense. I could see an argument if he got beaten pillar to post for 12 rounds or had an 8-4 or 9-3 loss but 115 to 113? Guy even at his age is still good but he should retire. Also pretty hilarious that I was up here when the Jacobs fight was announced and said Jacobs wouldn't be a walk in the park of a fight but the same haters are on here now acting like they weren't calling Jacobs a soft pick and now suddenly they are Jacobs fans or Jacobs won. That agenda is transparent AF.

When it comes to GGG you are anything but fair minded and neutral. You went to the trouble of putting his face on Broner's body as Broner was being helped back to his dressing room after his loss to Maidana. You have strong bias against GGG. He could and should have dominant wins over Martinez, Saunders, Eubanks and Cotto years ago when he was younger and better but they all flat refused to fight him at that time. He didn't dominated Jacobs or Canelo because he is getting old and they are excellent champions. Don't say Brook gave him any trouble because he didn't. Brook may have edged the first two rounds and then GGG beat the hell out of him. Mayweather didn't dominated everybody he fought either. Most viewers thought Castillo beat him. No middleweight fighting today has as many good wins as GGG at middleweight in spite of him being avoided so much.
