I said months ago that the only reason Canelo vs lemieux didn't happen in December is because the 1 round ko of osulluvian changed golden boys mind. Even though lemieux sucks, they didn't want to risk putting Canelo in with someone with that kind of power only 3 months after the fight with ggg, just in case he wasn't fully recovered. They definitely had him lined up for may had he fought in December. If this fight still happens, it'll be the lamest run of back to back fights for a ppv boxing star since... Well, Canelo vs khan and Smith.

Oh I wouldn't be too surprised if one of the sanctioning orgs had Spike top #3 at the time (most likely the WBA or IBF), you'd be amazed at the names on some of the lists..

Hopkins just being a little slippery with the truth.

If Canelo fights three times a year in 2019, and Lemieux is his Rocky Fielding of the year like he was supposed to be this year, until he got replaced by... Rocky Fielding... then I'm very happy with that as a boxing fan. If David Lemieux is your third best opponent of the year, that's a hell of a year. But if Lemieux is going to be counted as one of the main two big fights for Canelo in 2019, and we're going to get a Rocky Fielding again, then Im not interested.

I have said this since the Fielding fight; if Canelo does not fight a unification fight @ 160 or 168, the WBC must strip him from his MW title! Fielding was his voluntary, now it's time to fight Charlo, which is his mandatory. The WBC ordered Charlo vs. GGG for an eliminator, GGG swerved, so Charlo should be next!

Charlo’s mandatory is GGG... The only individual that stated GGG wouldn’t fight Charlo was Loeffler an he ain’t no longer w/t GGG. Once Golovkin signs w/t a network then we’ll see if the Charlo fight is made. As for right now, Charlo needs to fight GGG in order to get a shot at Canelo no if’s or but’s.

I have no problem with the three guys you mentioned but why are fans like you biased as fucc???
If you want Canelo to fight them three one after the other then why are you okay with Triple g and BJS fighting Uber drivers until they get the Canelo pay day cause eventually that's what's gonna happen... You know that! Why do Canelo haters want Canelo to fight a top dog Everytime he fights but you guys are okay with all the other fighters taking tune-ups while they wait for their turn at Canelo...
Why aren't you asking to see Triple g-BJS while Canelo fights Jacobs???
Now tell me your aren't being biased?!!

why do you need to fight a Fielding every year just because you're fighting three times?

SO if GGG does not want to fight Charlo, shouldn't Charlo be next? Do you think the WBC should allow Canelo to fight Lemieux, who has no title at 160 or 168, in May?
