If they feed this washed up Bum to Canelo, I swear I’ll cancel my DAZN subscription.

Mmmm. Should be a nice showcase fight for Canelo... doesn't really do a whole lot for him specially since Lemieux was already battered by GGG and it's not so long since he was made to look inept by Saunders (N'Dam too for my money, but hey), but it's bound to happen sooner or later.

Problem is I don't think Lemieux can healthily make 160 anymore and at 168 he ain't even gained the minimal respect he got at 160 as a KO artist.

Those of us with brains know that some fights are more difficult to make than others and there remains promotional roadblocks even with the guys who can bring real money and promotional power to bear... ain't so easy as just picking the 'best' option even when it's clear exactly what that is.

Lemieux was handpicked and given a contract with GBP for specifically this purpose, so it's gonna happen anyway - let's just get this ish out of the way and move on. It'll be embarrassingly one sided, but probably fun as long as it lasts.

If Canelo-Jacobs won't happen, I'm ok with Canelo-Lemieux. Let's see if Canelo fights same way (Mexican Style) against Lemieux.

Is Corey Erdman a pen name for Steve Kim or Dougie Fischer? You can't convince me that this article is anything more than a Golden Boy PR piece.

Who wrote this article? Surely they can’t let Hopkins get away with calling Spike O’Sullivan the ‘number 3 guy in the division’! What a load of cr*p he’s not in the top ten. And did they say that BJS is aligned with DAZN? Since when. Amateur hour

I cant accept 2 cherry's in a row. Especially on a major MexiCAN American Holiday.

If Canelo fights anyone not named Jacobs/Boopoo/Andrade/Saunders/
Charlo/or a legit Smw,then he deserves the redicule & will THEN be straight up ducking legit opponents. But I'm ok with him facing a legit smw contender in may as long as he faces 1 of those names in Sept.,if he doesn't fight 1 of those names this yr THEN I would talk as much sht as possible but those other names need to also man the fck up & fight each other like the bhop era mws used to do before the division became filled with Pssys with padded records.

I would settle with Canelo fighting Lemule in September IF Canelo fights Andrade, Jacobs, Saunders or GGG in May hell ok I'll take bum killa Charlo. But Lemule needs to do something legit you all remember what Saunders did to him.

I bet Oscar and co got all excited after hearing Lemieux collapsed making weight, and underlined his name as the next opponent, no doubt.
The only problem is Canelo is going to have to face (eventually) his mandatories at 160, but I'm sure the brown asses at the WBA/WBC will give Canelo all the handjobs he needs to take his time. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Canelo and Oscar don't form their own sanctioning body in the near future.

So Canelo fights Lemieux at a catchweight so close to the middleweight limit that Lemieux will still be severely weight drained come fight night.

No way he fights a big clubbing 168 (175 after hydration) version of Lemieux for his toy WBA belt.

Once that's done he's been given far too much time in recess at 160 and ought to be ordered to fight Andrade, Jacobs or perhaps even BJS if he can get back in the mix by then.

How many of his 11 fight contract will be actual decent match-ups? I'm saying less than 40%.
