Three-division world champion Abner Mares believes that he's got the right game plan to unseat heavy favorite Gervonta "Tank" Davis for the WBA super featherweight world title. Their contest has been finalized for Saturday, February 9 live on Showtime from the StubHub Center in Carson, California.

Mares best days are behind him. Good name for Davis record especially if he can score a KO. Smart fight for them.

I think the question was actually even more disrespectful then that lmao.

"How many rounds do you see yourself lasting against Tank?

I'm honestly shocked he didn't just beat the reporter's ass on the spot.

What's up with these boxers seeing something in their highly favored opponent?

Lol. The 'I see something' trend has started. Now it'll be said with all these mismatches. Mares sucks and always has. Can't even get licensed in NY. Smh. Hope Davis fights somebody this year. Although I'm sure this is fight one outta the 2 fights he will fight this year. Next fight will be a tune up hahaha. Gonna have that Charlo awakening when he actually fights tough competition. That's to bad because I personally love his style of fighting...

Would love for Tank vs Loma man.... This is not a bad fight though Tank is favored, Mares if on can upset most in the weight class.

He sees something alright, he’s seeing stars already, and hasn’t even walked in the ring yet.

Mares is older and has a lot more experience than Tank. In addition, he is the more seasoned of the two. Davis is yet still green. He is been too inactive at his age. At this current stage of his career he should be fighting at least four times a year. All he is doing now is collecting a lot of dust while wasting away on the shelf.
