.....I respect your opinion Dirt and you have to be gaining more and more respect for Wlad. In the end he will turn the doubters into believers.

I never had a problem with Wlad. I didn't really like him, but that didn't cloud my judgment. My issue with him was his undeserved praise he got at the time, but he's proving more over time, as any fighter who wants to be the champion should do.

Once again, if you'd take the time to read, you'd see clearly what I said:

His point was well taken in context of the entier post:

- While Briggs may be an undeserving opponent, it's softened by the fact Wlad just faced Byrd and Peter. Taking a fight with an undeserving fighter isn't so bad with that considered

- Eveyone seems to be facing poor opposition

- The Heavyweight division is a mess right now

- There are many names who have reccently or are now fighting for titles that were also undeserving making this fight no worse

You came trolling in (in 30 seconds) looking to Flame because you're a 42 year old loser who has nothing better to do than hang out in the lounge and thunderdome of a boxing site when you don't even really care about boxing.

Exactly. King has his titles on lockdown, and the WBC title is locked up with Rahman/Maskaev and if Toney can beat Peter then he gets the winner.

Brock is the #1 contender, but he had a flat showing, and Wlad has an HBO date in MSG, where Briggs (who is from NY and well-known there) will be the bigger draw. It's Brock's fault partially, for a sluggish performance against Timur, but Timur is a tough guy to look really good against also. It's a numbers game, and Briggs won in the end.

But yeah, saying Sultan shouldn't be given a chance to fight in an eliminator doesn't make sense to me... who should then?
