Davis is definitely special. As in "special needs". He looks and sounds ******ed.

Davis is an excellent champion with a bright future but I seriously doubt he will become the biggest star in boxer. I don't think he will ever be bigger or even as big as Canelo. He is an excellent fighter but there are a few other boxers who are just as good as he is with a better personality.

Davis is Adrien Broner, part II. All sizzle, no steak, and nothing but trouble outside of the ring and gym.

Short guys can move up weight classes just as well as tall guys. Mikey, Duran, Pacquiao, Mayweather, Canelo, Cotto, Gonzalez, Toney and others proved that.

Lomachenko and Davis already share a common opponent.

sometimes in order to be a star you have to do less not more. this is not a meritocracy. its boxing. they have literally not put him in with one guy who was considered a threat at the time so they are trying to build a star the back door route. lets do a review...

pedraza: at the time was considered a super weak champion who got a gift vs edner cherry and looked horible against stephen smith. did his best career work after losing to davis

liam walsh: typical first title defense against unknown british tomato can

                  fonseca: complete unknown

cuellar: small guy coming off a loss

mares: small guy coming off a loss

no one reasonable should be looking at that and saying yeah this is boxings biggest star! stars should be the guys who are the best/willing to fight the best. they should not be manufactured with careful career calculations. the guy wont even fight machado and flat out stole his belt. does machado not exist? you can't even fight machado? christ

                    Broner 2.0

This guys is a spitting image of Adrien Broner. They even talk the same.

Little stump will be behind bars before he even knows it.
